Pari(s) Affresco is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to inform and raise awareness about buon fresco, the art of painting with pigments and water on a fresh and wet coat of lime and sand. The organization also aims to foster the creation of fresco paintings.

Pari(s) Affresco, because it is in Paris that a revival and renewal of fresco painting took place in the early years of the twentieth century. Because is also in Paris that artist members of the organization have trained in buon fresco. It is also really taking a bet (“accepter un pari” or “parier” in French) than to defend buon fresco and paint frescoes, as this art, fabulous and out of the ordinary, is demanding and regularly threatened with extinction.

Pari(s) Affresco was founded on December 1st, 2018 by artist Isabelle Bonzom, a frescoist since 1991 and the author of the reference book « La fresque, art et technique » (Eyrolles publishing house, 2010). She practices and teaches fresco without any nostalgia. Isabelle Bonzom is convinced of the pertinence of buon fresco in our world confronted with environmental disasters. Indeed, buon fresco is the most ecological and durable of all painting and mural techniques.

Pari(s) Affresco promotes fresco painting, in particular through workshops, lectures and talks, publications and demonstrations.

Pari(s) Affresco is also an artist collective which creates frescoes, whether inside or outside buildings, for private spaces (corporations and private individuals) and for public spaces (schools, railway stations, office buildings, etc.).
